Them democrats, they will never help us. Because as per them "we are stealing jobs". We should really start something like the flower campaign to expose all these double talkers. I mean go and see the youtube video by Hillary about how she likes legal immigrants and all that BS. Now contrast that with her "Ney" vote for an amendment which would have helped the legal immigrant community to a great extent. With the momentum that we have currently with media, we should really start exposing these people for who they are, a bunch of hypocrites!.

Numerous students on F1 visa applied 485 and got their GC these years.
One's I-485 can be filed only for visas with dual intent status. For instance, an F visa or a B2 visa person (currently not dual intent visas) cannot apply for I-485. This was the basis on which I made that statement. Everyone is free to interpret differently. Again, I am not an attorney and I might be wrong.

Stop sending money to parents and in-laws, if its possible. Otherwise, maintain parity by sending money in small amounts to both parents. Its stupid to say my wife is not working so she has no business to send money to her parents. Its so wrong and I'm surprised folks can think like this. Marriage is about sharing and even a child will tell you that. If the in-laws are any sensible they won't accept gifts from the son-in-law but its for them to decide.And stop receiving any gifts from either sides.

When you get the letter ready we'll send it again. It doesn't hurt to send them the letters 100 times.
I believe in 1 thing.... Is the media(in this case letter) imparting the message ? If the answer is 'Yes', we are done!!!!

09/28/2007: Depressing News for the Year-End Backend 485 Delays and Potential Waste of Visa Numbers for FY 2007
Unconfirmed sources indicate that two days before the end of FY 2007, there may be a substantial number of 485 applications for which visa numbers are available but have yet to be adjudicated, indicating that some visa numbers could be wasted this year. We know that the Service Centers have been working day and night and did not have enough resources to deal with the crisis which was brought about by the recent Visa Bulletin fiasco. We just hope for the better new fiscal year that will start from October 1, 2007.

I don't know that they charge 400 for password change:mad:, I recently did it and also Customer care never informed me about this charge...
There are plenty of charges and many of us do not realize that they charged. So we think the service is good. But the charges are not known until we look into them very carefully

Don't expect anything from Nebraska Service Center today. Somebody from site who live few minutes away from NSC said that the parking lot at NSC is empty today. Yesterday, she saw that it was full from 7 to 12 nn but was empty in the afternoon.
What we can expect is only automatic LUDs. No overtime work for NSC. Have they used up all the FY2007 visas? They must have....if not, this fact can be used against them when we file a complain.
Its interesting to find someone 'tracking' the NSC parking lot this weekend!!:D
I have found some interesting posts by people. See below:

I got a email notification from my attorney just now that my I-140 is approved with priority date ported from EB3. Not sure whether I should wait few weeks before initiating interfiling process.

Is it true that when we apply for NRI home loan we should repay the loan back in foreign currency.
If that is the case what will a person do if he applies for the NRI loan( long term) and moves back to India for good after few years .Will he have to pay back the loan in foreign currency before making the move?

There are many people who have contributed and will be contributing again. But can I know how would more money would have helped convincing Senator Sessions to say "Yes" for the bill??
I am not sure if more money would have passed the bill in Lame Duck session without Senator Session approving it. Also, the lawyers ask only for the service they render to you. They dont ask money for keeping your application with them and unable to process because of retrogression.
You may want to get in touch with core members if you have questions. They are very prompt in answering questions.Such posts will only create roadblocks to the momentum created on the forum by some of our members. It is time to help rather than ask. We have seen in the lameduck session how close we came to getting the bill passed. If IV was not there, even this much was not possible. We give thousands of dollars to our lawyers, can't we simply give 20 dollars to IV without asking questions and believing in this cause?

That is not true, my lawyer who is very influential and he has some good contacts he told me that this year spill-over would be different form last year. I was stupid so didn�t believe him about July 2007, and paying it for now for not having EAD.
I know this is hard to believe especially if something comes from lawyer.
